STREET LIGHT V/S AADHI – the clash of debut

This Republic day (January 26 ) will witness an exceptional clash between two big movies Streetlights and Aadhi.

Why I am stating it as exceptional, is because of a reason I discovered out. More than it’s a Mammootty or Jeethu Joseph Movie, its a Maiden movie of two people, one as an on-screen actor and the other as a Director. Truly, all of you know Pranav Mohanlal and Shamdat Sain extremely well. Shamdat Sain is a notable cinematographer in the field now, he was the man who did the camera for Jeethu’s movie Oozham, while Pranav was working under Jeethu for two or three years as an Assistant Director.

Aadhi is a thriller film which was shot in Bangalore and Kochi. As the Tagline proposes (Some lies can be deadly), the film will be high in content. Director and writer Jeethu Joseph didn’t uncover much about the storyline of the film. Pranav will be seen doing some Parkour stunts for the flick. The cinematography of Aadhi is done by Satheesh Kurup and the film is being edited by Ayoob Khan. The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvaad cinemas.

Street Lights is a bilingual film at the same time shot in Tamil and Malayalam. The team decided to dub the movie in Telugu as well. As per Mammootty’s discourse amid the music launch, he will be seen as a cop in the movie. The film is a crime a thriller that occurs in a day and completes on that night. Both the forms of the movie will have an alternate star cast. He says he is making the Tamil version simply because of the demand for plot and not for creating any buildup. The film is Written by Fawaz Mohamed and camera is by Sadat Sainudeen. The film is bankrolled by Mammootty’s Playhouse motion pictures.

Mammootty had wished good fortunes for Pranav a day ago when they assembled at Mammootty’s Residence. This Republic day will be vital for Shamdath Sain as debut director and For Pranav, it will be a major obligation ahead to satisfy his dad’s fans. A Good wish from me for both teams.
